Just like the ocean tides, the full moon influences our own rhythms, enhancing whatever we are strongly feeling at the time. Through yoga, we can tap into this potent lunar energy to restore balance between feeling grounded yet expansive, dreamy yet called to action. The full moon is a powerful time to set your intentions and move mindfully.
This 75 minute yoga practice aims to awaken the divine, reflective nature of the moon, incorporating smudging, Kirtan (call and response chanting) and other traditional full moon rituals into an active and authentic flow practice. Many modifications / posture variations are offered in this class, which makes it very accessible to all. Students are encouraged to do what suits them and their bodies.
Bhakti Flo is Angela's unique take on combining her love of music and singing with her love of yoga. This specialty class seamlessly blends Kirtan and a Yoga Flo vinyasa practice into a unique, joyful and memorable experience.
The Sanskrit word bhakti comes from the root bhaj, which means "to adore or worship God." Bhakti yoga has been called "love for love's sake" and "union through love and devotion." Bhakti yoga, like any other form of yoga, is a path to self-realization, to having an experience of oneness with everything.
