In this calm and relaxing 3 hour workshop you will learn how to string together Mala Beads while infusing each knot with positive and healing energy. Setting an intention with every bead strung. We will also make our own tassels from scratch and learn how to attach them securely to your Mala.
Svadhishthana, the center of passion, pleasure and emotion, located in the pelvic area. While the Root Chakra is satisfied with survival, the 2nd chakra seeks pleasure & enjoyment.
The gift of this chakra is experiencing our lives through feelings and sensations; emotion, pleasure, sensuality, intimacy, and connection.
The energy of Svadhishthana (2nd chakra) allows us to let go, to move, and to feel change & transformation occurring within the body. It allows us to experience this moment as it is, in its own fullness.
The main challenge for Svadhishthana is to unlearn all the conditioning that our society has imprinted on us. We live in a world where feelings are not valued, where passion & emotional reactions are frowned upon. We are being taught not to "loose control". And we get disconnected from our bodies, our feelings, our passion. As if this wasn't enough, we also experience the wounds of our collective cultural struggles over the many sexual issues of our society. On the one hand, sexuality is magnified and glorified, the other it is rejected and demonized. This results in either blocked or excessive 2nd chakra issues.
No wonder we have so many issues with our passion centre, our wellspring of feelings, enjoyment, and sensuality has been all plugged up.

I recommend having some experience with hand-knotting for this workshop, but it is not required.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
Fees: Workshop: $35, plus materials (dependant on chosen stone) and taxes.
Materials include: muslin mala/bead bag, 108 8mm mala beads (semi precious gemstones), pewter guru bead, beading cord, silk tassel thread and beading needle.
Please complete required registration form, after which your confirmation will be sent, as well as details on payment of your required $60 deposit. Once the deposit it made, materials will be ordered and your spot at the workshop will be secured.
*Once materials are ordered, the deposit becomes non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the workshop, you will still receive your mala kit.
