FALL BACK IN LOVE WITH MONDAYS

Join Angela and Ashley for a 75 minute weekly practice to help ground and prepare you for the week ahead. Your new Monday evening ritual of magic includes Restorative Yoga, live singing accompanied by harmonium, and a Yoga Nidra guided meditation.
Ashley will begin by guiding you into each restorative posture, making sure that all the props required are used to support you fully in your practice. Once settled, Angela will continue to lull you into a deeper state of relaxation with Sanskrit chanting accompanied by harmonium (a traditional Indian instrument). To close, Angela will guide participants through a Yoga Nidra meditation while in a supported savasana.
When we shift our focus away from the constant stimuli and hectic demands of the external world towards our own internal landscape, we create conditions for healing and release. Participants can expect to leave class feeling grounded, rested, and calm.
Restorative Yoga is a slow, gentle and introspective style of yoga that emphasizes grounded postures held for longer periods of time. In each pose the body is supported by the use of props so the yogi can focus on being and breathing. Restorative Yoga is an excellent practice for people of all ages and fitness levels, including those who have injuries or a chronic illness. Our intention is stress-reduction, finding stillness and cultivating a sense of serenity in a safe and welcoming space.
Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice known as "yogic sleep" or "sleep with awareness." In this guided meditation the participant is led into full-body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness. Yoga Nidra is a systematic method of complete relaxation, holistically addressing our physiological, neurological and subconscious needs.
